Planet Doughnut

Planet Doughnut was founded by Duncan & Samantha McGregor in 2017. After six months of recipe creation and concept development, we launched a delivery service and went to local farmers markets. We thought we might be onto a good thing as people loved our doughnuts, and we couldn't keep up with demand. We needed to get real equipment and had a choice of going back to our day jobs or finding a bricks & mortar store. Fast forward to May 2018 and we went for it! Opening Shrewsbury's first artisan doughnut shop, swiftly followed by a small kiosk in the local shopping centre and moved from baking in our converted garage to a purpose built bakery in Battlefield, Shrewsbury. We were only open 5 days a week, and had a whopping total of 6 employees (including us 2).
