Application for a license may be made online using the below link or at the Business License counter (of the Revenue Management Division) on the first floor of City Hall, during our regular business hours. It should be noted that both residential and commercial property rentals are considered as business operations, and must be licensed accordingly. California Senate Bill No. 205 (SB205), approved in October 2019 mandates regulated industrial facilities demonstrate enrollment under the State Water Resources Control Boards (SWRCB) Industrial General Permit (IGP) prior to being issued a new or renewed business license. To meet the requirements of SB205, businesses applying for a business license within the City of Pomona must complete and submit the Environmental Questionnaire (link below). SB205 is effective as of January 1, 2020. Applicants that fall under a certain category will need to provide, under penalty of perjury, their primary State Industrial Classification (SIC) Code.
