Portsalon offers golfers an opportunity to play golf on an original golf links design. Unspoiled, uncrowded, natural links land, surrounded by the spectacular Knockalla mountains and the beautiful white sanded beaches of Portsalon on the shores of Lough Swilly. Visitors are treated to a classic links golfing experience that will flood their senses and bring them back for more and more golfing holidays to this wonderful part of Ireland. Portsalon Golf Course was originally designed in the 1880's by Portrush Professional Charles Thompson. It was then redesigned in 2000 by the renowned Pat Ruddy. Currently this beautiful Links course is the beneficiary of advice from Irish professional Paul McGinley of Ryder Cup fame.
