Prima Capital Advisors LLC ("Prima") is an investment advisory firm that specializes in commercial mortgage investments, including whole loans, investment grade rated commercial mortgage backed securities, select commercial mortgage 'B' notes, Mezzanine loans, bonds and preferred shares issued by investment grade rated real estate investment trusts. Prima's funds under management currently total approximately $ 3.5 billion as of December 31, 2015. These investments are made on a fully discretionary basis for a number of public and corporate pension funds, insurance companies, and off-shore investors. Prima also manages a non-discretionary commercial mortgage investment management account on behalf of a large U.S. public pension fund. Prima was formed in the state of New York in October of 2002. Upon Prima's founding, it acquired certain investment advisory agreements from Conning Asset Management Company and its then parent company, Swiss Reinsurance. Previously, in 1998, Conning purchased substantially all of the assets of Schroder Mortgage Associates, an entity founded by one of Prima's principals, Mr. Greg White.
