The Company was founded in December 2009. The Company's President and Founder, AJ Plautz, formed the Company as a result of much research into the different platforms from which to execute wealth advisory. His findings led him to the conclusion that forming an independent Registered Investment Adviser and engaging clients as a fee-only advisor was in the best interest of his clients based on the service his clients desired and his preference for client engagement in a conflict-free environment. AJ has over 12 years experience in the financial service arena. He spent five years serving as a financial consultant focusing on accumulation and at-retirement investment strategies, estate planning and small business financial and planning strategies through a broker/dealer relationship with AXA Advisors. In 2009, AJ joined MPact Financial as a Partner and served on the Investment Committee in addition to serving clients. Prior to joining AXA and MPact, AJ worked for Highland Capital Management, a hedge fund based in Dallas, as a Portfolio Surveillance Manager specializing in structured finance products for institutional investors. During his time at Highland, he was engrained with the importance of stewardship over client assets and the value of strategic investment analysis. Prior to working with Highland, AJ worked with Deloitte & Touche as a senior auditor in Dallas. He is currently licensed as a Certified Public Accountant ("CPA").
