Qulliit

Qulliit Nunavut Status of Women Council was established under the Status of Women Council Act of Nunavut on April 1, 1999 and commenced operations April 1, 2001. The purpose of the Council is to advance the goal of equal participation of women in society and promote changes in social, legal and economic structures to that end. The Council could not do the work we do without the support of so many partnerships. Qulliit also continues to provide assistance to organizations and groups whose objectives mirror those of our Council. This past year we have been approached and provided support in the form of advice, advocacy, funding, and or/letters of support. On countless occasions, we have also been the recipient of such support. Therefore, the Council wishes to thank its many partners from and the many valiant women across the territory that continue to strive for a better Nunavut.
