Quran Academy

After receiving a grant from Start-Up Chile, the largest startup accelerator in the world, and with the additional support of a successful IndieGogo campaign to raise initial funds for development, Quran Academy's first Quran memorization app for the iPad was released in January 2015. Quran Academy was then accepted to participate in MaGIC's Accelerator Program, the largest startup accelerator in South East Asia based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where our focus shifted to develop a smartphone Quran memorization app for Android and iPhone targeted for the everyday Muslim. These achievements and vision also earned Bilal Memon the 1st place award of "Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah International Prize for Entrepreneurship" under the Centennial Fund, Saudi Arabia, in November 2015. Additionally, Quran Academy participated in the World Islamic Economic Forum Startup Idealab in Kuala Lumpur in 2015. In May 2016, the Quran memorization smartphone app 'Quran Companion' was released after over a year of research and development. From this platform, Quran Academy then expanded to provide further resources, courses and premium training that take advantage of modern technology and leverage the power of human relationships to help the Ummah reconnect with the Quran.
