Rainbow Nursery

Rainbow Nursery, located in the Avenues area of Hull, offers a friendly, caring and safe learning environment for children aged 3 months to 5 year olds. Situated in a large Victorian house in this leafy conservation area, we provide a homely and caring atmosphere where children feel happy and relaxed. Here at Rainbow Nursery we have a team that comprises of long serving, knowledgeable and experienced staff who have a passion to go the extra mile to make your child's time a happy and fulfilling experience. Our practitioners specialise in specific areas of interest and like to involve the children in a variety of activities some of which include cookery, music, outside activities and excursions. We follow the governments Early Years Foundation Stage framework with its 6 areas of learning, and we are able to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, and those who speak English as an additional language. Rainbow Nursery prides itself on the highly positive relationships we develop with parents. We recognise that successful liaison with parents contributes to improvements in children's achievement, well-being and development and we place great value in ensuring that parents develop a sense of belonging in the Nursery and have a say in the care and well-being of their children. Rainbow Nursery uses a Key worker system which means that each member of staff has a group of children for whom she/he is particularly responsible for. Your child's key worker will be the person who works alongside you to make sure that what the nursery provides is right for your child's particular needs and interests. When your child first starts at the nursery, their key worker will help your child to settle in, and throughout your child's time at the nursery the key worker will help your child to benefit from the nursery's activities. Key workers also undertake detailed on-going observation and assessment to provide a clear insight your child's progress and achievements, and parents are encouraged to take their child's progress file home to read and add any comments at their leisure. We know how important it is to keep parents up to date with developments at our nursery, and so regular information is communicated through our monthly newsletter, website as well as notice board announcements and daily key-worker contact. Rainbow Nursery aims to provide a safe, stimulating environment where all children and adults should feel a valued part of the nursery and are treated fairly. Our policies help us to achieve this. Policies are displayed in the entrance of the nursery, or you can obtain a copy by requesting from the Nursery manager/downloading from this website.
