Established in 1999. We provide natural bath and body products & essential oils. All products are sustainably created using African botanicals with love and care for you, our craftspeople, and the environment. We are the only Southern African beauty and body product company accredited by both Fair Trade in Africa and the international Fair Trade body in Europe. Our products are harvested in the wild by knowledgeable local women and blended with locally-grown natural ingredients. We go further and promise no parabens, no petroleum jelly, no mineral oil, no liquid paraffin, no petrochemicals, no animal testing and no child labor. Rain was started by Bev Missing in August 1999 in Ladybrand a small rural village on the Lesotho border. It grew from one person making soaps in a garage to what it is today: a proudly South African international brand. Bev is passionate about helping people and creating hope. She derives her greatest pleasure from helping someone get on their feet and improve their circumstances in life, and sees herself as a giver and a doer. She has a large and challenging vision for the company and dedicates her time and energy in pursuit of that goal. Her business partners Simon and Hendrien Dewhurst are former South Africans living in New York who share Bev's passion for their former homeland and its people. They run the store in New York's prestigious Rockefeller Centre and are the energy behind marketing Rain in the USA.
