Rancho Mirage Public Library is one of California's best. Nationally, it performs in the top 1% of public libraries. Home to the Rancho Mirage Writers Festival each January, with over 30 authors and 1,000 attendees (readers!) the Library serves the City of Rancho Mirage and the broad Coachella Valley making up much of the desert of California's Inland Empire. The Library is most noted for its strong programming schedule and as home to the personal Library of President Gerald R. and Betty Ford.
