Rasa Center for Yoga
At Rasa Center, we are committed to being good stewards to our environment and effective citizens in our communities. As a start, many of our building materials in our center are green - from our bamboo and cork-floored studios, to the use of low-VOC paint (alternative, non-toxic paint) throughout the center. We also use CFLs (compact fluorescent light bulbs) throughout much of the center, proving that you can save energy without comprising aesthetics. Even our building sign was made from recycled and reclaimed steel! As we continue to grow our presence in the Rogue Valley, so shall our efforts to bring yoga to those who need it most. We currently support, work on or are planning such efforts and programs relating to yoga for at-risk and incarcerated youth, yoga for addiction and recovery, yoga for seniors and for low-income pre & post natal mothers. It is with great hope that our community, our yoga kula, shall join us in our continued work to bring the benefits of yoga outside of the studio and into our neighborhoods and our global communities. Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it.
