Regione Sardegna
The Regional Council is the legislative body of the Sardinian Region. In other words, it is the regional Parliament: it approves the regional laws and has the faculty to modify the Statute of the Region. It is elected every five years, and consists of 60 councilors, who represent, in proportion to the population, the eight provincial districts in which Sardinia is divided. In addition to the more properly legislative function, the Board has the task of directing and monitoring the executive activity of the Executive.
