Rescate Hotels were established by Akay Group which is the hotelier and owner of the brand name. Akay Group commenced its commercial activities in the field of beverage distribution, and has expanded its distribution network both in Ankara and Van. Akay Group entered into the tourism sector by opening a hotel in Ankara. The name of the Chairman of Akay Group and Rescate Hotels, Kurtulus Akay was the source of inspiration in finding a name for the boutique hotel opened in Ankara in 2007, in as much as Kurtulus means Rescate in Spanish. With its six years of experience in Ankara, and having 25 rooms, Rescate Boutique Hotel possesses the standards of a five star hotel and caters to a VIP profile. Its guests leave the hotel with satisfaction and express that they have felt at home. Based on this successful initiative, Akay Group decided to open Rescate Hotel Asia/Istanbul was opened in 2012. It is located at the focal point of the new financial centre in Umraniye on the Anatolian side of Istanbul and has 124 rooms, 4 meeting rooms, SPA centre, restaurant and bars, parking area with a capacity of 200 vehicles, a business centre and a coiffeur. Having a high occupancy rate, Rescate Hotel Asia/Istanbul mainly hosts guests travelling for business purposes. Adding new hotels to its chain over time, Rescate Hotels attaches much importance to service quality besides its physical structure, it works to establish, implement and supervise certain standards.
