On 6 May 2016, Eclipx Group, an established leader in vehicle fleet leasing, fleet management and diversified financial services in Australia and New Zealand advised that it has entered into an agreement to acquire 100% of the share capital of Right2Drive Pty Ltd (R2D) for A$67m. Commenting on the acquisition, Chief Executive Officer, Doc Klotz said: "This is an exciting, synergistic and strategic acquisition providing Eclipx with a platform to expand into the medium term vehicle rental segment providing new and used accident replacement vehicles to "not at fault" drivers." Since our launch in November 2012, Right2Drive has helped over 40,000 drivers get back on the road after their motor accident. We now operate from 16 locations across Australia. In New South Wales we service the greater Sydney Region, north to Newcastle and south to Illawarra and Nowra. In 2015 we commenced operations in Queensland, Melbourne, Victoria and Western Australia and we were listed in BRW Magazine as the 13th fastest growing business in Australia. In 2016 we opened our first offshore branches in Auckland and Christchurch, New Zealand. We employ over 150 staff, a number of them have previous automotive experience, but we also have many from other service related industries.
