Rowles & Company

Rowles & Company, LLP was established in 1928 by Leonard B. Rowles, Sr., CPA who was also a practicing attorney-at-law. Mr. Rowles' experience included several years' service with the Maryland State Bank Commissioner as Senior Bank Examiner. This experience, coupled with his skills as an instructor of accounting at The Johns Hopkins University, provided the foundation for the development of his accounting practice. Leonard B. Rowles & Co. primarily offered auditing, accounting, and tax services to the commercial banks in the community. As years passed, the practice became diversified. However, the reputation for providing accounting services to credit unions, banks, and savings and loans remained with the firm. After the retirement of Leonard B. Rowles, Sr., his son Leonard B. Rowles, Jr. carried on the name of the firm and its reputation. Although Rowles & Company, LLP, specializes in accounting and auditing services to financial institutions, today, the firm also offers auditing, accounting, consulting, and tax services to a variety of businesses, individuals, estates and trusts. Rowles & Company, LLP, is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. As members of the Private Company Practice Section and the Center for Public Company Audit Firms of the AICPA, the firm undergoes Tri-Annual Peer Review. Rowles & Company, LLP, is a member of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants and is registered with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board. As our firm philosophy, Rowles & Company, LLP, remains committed to providing the highest quality of professional accounting, auditing, tax, and consulting services to our clients.
