Rumford Stone

Rumford Stone, Inc., a fabricator of granite countertops in NH, was incorporated in 1995, but my family has been in the stone and commercial ceramic tile business since my great grandfather, Pio Trento, arrived here from Frosinone, Italy in 1919. Throughout the years, my family has worked on projects stretching from the New York/New England area all the way to the Caribbean and Hawaii; including the United Nations Buildings in New York City, The James C. Cleveland Federal Building in Concord, NH, the Ginoux Federal Courthouse in Portland Maine, as well as many hotels, restaurants and universities across the northeastern United States. In the early 1990's, we recognized that the residential stone countertop business was poised for growth and began quoting countertop work to area kitchen and bath dealers and through our showroom in Pembroke, NH. We grew quickly and in 1995 officially began operating a new company under the name Rumford Stone, Inc. Rumford, by the way, was the pre-colonial name for the area now known as Concord, NH. Today, Rumford Stone fabricates and installs granite counter tops, as well as quartz and natural stone, for kitchen and bathroom counter tops, showers, and fireplace surrounds for customers in New England and surrounding states. We work with many home builders, general contractors and kitchen dealers throughout northern New England.
