Saddleback Cellars

Founded in 1981 by vintner Nils Venge, Saddleback Cellars is a boutique winery located off a dead end road in Oakville in the heart of Napa Valley. It grows six varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Grigio and Zinfandel, each of which are hand-picked and immediately crushed during harvest. Prior to launching Saddleback Cellars, Venge worked with Charles Krug, Sterling, Villa Mount Eden and Groth. He earned his BS in Viticulture in 1967 at University of California, Davis.
