Society For Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering and Research

SAMEER was established as R & D Society by the then Dept. of Electronics (DOE), Govt. of India in 1984. SAMEER has three Centres-each located in the three major metros-Mumbai, Chennai & Kolkata with Head Quarters at Mumbai. SAMEER-Kolkata Centre was established in May, 1993 as a millimetre wave technology group. It started functioning as a full-fledged laboratory at Salt lake Electronics Complex, Kolkata in May, 2000. CATR facility has been established in second campus of SAMEER Kolkata Centre.
