Sapientia University
In compliance with Romanian accreditation requirements, the Sapientia University began to conduct its activities on the basis of a provisional licence. As a result of a multistage accreditation process, the Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education accredited the Institution in the summer of 2010; the accreditation process was completed on 28th of February 2012 with a political decision by the Chamber of Deputies and by the Senate of Romania. In the academic year of 2017/2018, a total number of 2300 students are enrolled in 30 BSc and 12 master programmes, in 4 study centres and within 3 faculties, under the guidance of 193 full time lecturers and about 100 other tutors from Romania and abroad. The establishment of a professional cooperation network is paramount for the leadership of the Sapientia University. Efficient partnerships with domestic and international higher education and research institutions present a number of opportunities for further development of research and teaching, for student and teacher exchange programmes and create the conditions to join the European Higher Education Area. In the hope you will find that our University offers a reliable opportunity for furthering cooperation in education and science, we are looking forward to welcoming you at Sapientia University and to find together ways to benefit from our potentials.
