Scanbio was established in 1984 in Bjugn, Norway. The company is specialized in the production of fish protein concentrate, fish oil and fishmeal from preserved by-products (silage) and fresh raw materials. Scanbio MG AS has four production plants in Norway: Scanbio Bjugn AS, located in Bjugn, Norway Scanbio Lysøysund AS, located in Lysøysund, Norway Miljøprosess AS, located in Båtsfjord, Norway. Scanbio K2 AS, located in Lysøysund, Norway. The plants' total production capacity is approx. 370 000 tons of raw material per year.
