South County Internal Medicine was founded in 1977 and is a physician owned primary care practice located in the historic village of Wakefield in the town of South Kingstown, Rhode Island. This coastal community has beautiful beaches and harbors for swimming, fishing, and boating, as well as rural woods and farmlands making it a unique place to work and reside. We are about thirty minutes from Providence, Rhode Island and ninety minutes from Boston, Massachusetts. We believe in providing excellent patient care while promoting physician quality of life. We are recognized as a National Committee For Quality Assurance (NCQA) Patient Center Medical Home level 3 practice. We also have a strong commitment to assisting providers to meeting quality programs like Meaningful Use (MU), Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS), and Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS).
