At Sheridan County School District #2, we are dedicated to preparing every student with the skills, knowledge and attitudes needed for success. Through common purpose and rigorous attention to details, this school district is committed to helping each and every student achieve in their future life's pursuit. This mission and vision is at the core of everything we do as educators. We embrace innovation and strive to continuously improve our methods to engage every student at the district and school-wide levels, such as utilizing the Professional Learning Community philosophy in each school. This philosophy reinforces our team approach and allows our educators to share ideas and information, as well as intentionally develop ongoing efforts to improve how we prepare our students for success. These efforts are used every day in teaching a strong core curriculum and providing a variety of enrichment, recovery and other special education programs. It just so happens that by focusing on each student and embracing innovation, we have become one of the top school districts in the state of Wyoming. Our students' performance on assessments is number one among large districts in reading and math on one of the nation's most challenging statewide assessments. Although we are proud of our students' outstanding test results and other academic accomplishments, our true goal is, and always will be, about preparing every student with the skills, knowledge and attitudes needed for success.
