Sense/Net, a pioneer in the Hungarian Internet-based business solutions market, was founded in 1995. The era of the internet boom was a great opportunity to develop user friendly portal building software using web technology. The latest technological possibilities enabled the company to develop the Sense/Net Portal Engine enterprise portal motor which has been the foundation of the company's portal solutions since 1999. Our services are concentrated on the design, development, integration and operation of enterprise portals (internet, intranet and extranet based IT systems). Sense/Net's developments and results in the application of innovative internet technologies have been testified by several certifications. In 2001 the company was the first Hungarian firm to receive the Microsoft Gold Certified Partner for E-Commerce Solutions certificate. In the same year, Sense/Net finished first in the web developing contest of Microsoft Hungary. In 2002 the company became the first Hungarian member of the Microsoft Windows Media Service Provider (WMSP) programme. The successful projects of online broadcasting enabled Sense/Net to acquire membership. In 2005, on the 10th anniversary of founding Sense/Net, Primus Capital Partners LLC (a US-based venture capital fund with a focus on Central Europe) invested in our company. The capital was used for the growth the company and developing the software. The result was a renewed, modern company structure and the newest version of Sense/Net Portal Engine. In 2007, Sense/Net's team won the "Most Creative Team" prize in the 24 hour long "Win the Web '07 - Explore your talent" web developing contest organized by Microsoft Hungary and MSDN Competency Center. The three-person teams had to solve one large and three smaller tasks using Microsoft technology. In 2008, Sense/Net Ltd. acquired IVY Ltd. which had been successful in the Hungarian market as a developer of enterprise and SOHO (small office - home office) portal solutions. The value of the transaction was more than 600,000 Euros. As a result of the 100% acqusition IVY Ltd. was be merged into Sense/Net Ltd. The company staff is now over 40 persons including the SOA, E-commerce, LAMP and Microsoft Silverlight professionals of the acquired firm. Sense/Net has been featured in Deloitte's yearly "Technology Fast 50 Program in Central Europe" list four times since 2000. In 2010, Sense/Net released Sense/Net 6, the industry's first .NET-based, open-source, Enterprise Content Management Software and started to realign its business model to a world-wide, partner-based one. The road is long, but the company took a promising start. Our team has a decade of software industry experience and it combines technological wizardry with firmly established business strategy. By 2008 the company has grown to over fourty people, and the percentage ratio of MCPD certified developers is the highest among Hungarian .Net developer companies.
