SFCS is now a privately held corporation in Roanoke, Virginia, Charlotte, North Carolina, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and has grown to become a leading, nationally recognized full-service architectural, engineering, and interior design firm. We specialize in the markets of: senior living, higher education, and civic/public. SFCS has successfully planned and designed over 800 senior living, educational, and healthcare projects throughout the United States. From senior housing, colleges and universities, adult education centers, K-12 schools to hospitals, clinics, lab spaces, office suites and medical office buildings, we provide cost-effective, innovative design solutions for our clients. Our team is committed to providing quality service, meaningful, and thoughtful design. SFCS is dedicated to outcome-based design, which is conducted through many levels including Post Occupancy Evaluations, partnering with the School of Architecture + Design at Virginia Tech, national and regional conferences, individual study and research, publishing white papers, and collaborating with our clients and industry professionals every day. Our collaborative design approach helps build an environment uniquely appropriate for its purpose and one that contributes to the betterment of society, while protecting and preserving our natural resources. SFCS incorporates sustainable design techniques into all projects, even if LEED® certification is not desired.
