Santa Gertrudis ISD

Santa Gertrudis School, formally established in 1917, is the remaining one of three historic schools associated with the vast King Ranch of South Texas. Operated as an Independent School District since 1942, Santa Gertrudis School today provides educational instruction from pre-kindergarten through the eighth grade and is fully accredited by the Texas Education Agency. Located in the heart of the ranch it continues the tradition of educating the children of King Ranch that originated with the famed matriarch of Rancho Santa Gertrudis, Mrs. Henrietta M. King (1832-1925).
