Shigeru is promoting Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities on a company-wide basis, which strongly supports quality assurance and quality control. TPM is an initiative involving all employees to take efficiency in the production system to its utmost limit. Activities to eliminate losses are promoted in each department and at each level based on the worksite and products handled. Quality control is ensured throughout the production system through checks such as ensuring products can be made properly in each process and at the targeted quality. Another feature of our quality control is the availability of advanced inspection devices and tools. Other factors supporting our high quality level include the close cooperation we have fostered with automakers, besides our flexibility to move quickly.
