Founded by brothers Jack and Bill O'Shea in 1957, Shamrock Electric grew from a commercial and industrial contracting company to a trusted full-service electrical contracting firm committed to serving the neighborhoods of Chicago. Shamrock Electric's first office was rooted in the north side Chicago neighborhood where the O'Sheas grew up. Steady company growth and new business opportunities led us to relocate to a new headquarters in suburban Elk Grove Village. Throughout our history, Shamrock Electric has consistently seized opportunities to respond to market needs - expanding into the booming residential construction market, honing our design-build skills with challenging new projects, and adopting new, green technologies. We have added LEED projects, Life Safety, Renewable Energy Installations, and Structured Cabling to our resume. Shamrock Electric continues to be a closely held business more than a half century later, and has grown to have the financial and technical strength necessary to offer a complete range of services to our customers.
