Shelton State Community College

Shelton State Community College, located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, was established in 1979 by resolution of the Alabama State Board of Education (ASBE). SSCC is also designated as Alabama Junior College of the Fine Arts as it offers degrees in Dance, Music, Theatre and Visual Arts. The Alabama Stage and Screen Hall of Fame is located here, and Theatre Tuscaloosa is based in the Bean Browne Theatre at Shelton.
