Sherman

Sherman's is a family owned and operated retailer of appliances, electronics, furniture and mattresses with three Central Illinois stores. We focus on three things: Having the most expert, caring employees; measuring our productivity to keep costs in line, and selling at chain store prices. It's a combination you won't often find. We started in 1976, when Jack and Sharon Sherman opened a one-room store in Peoria, IL with an eclectic mix of products including Litton Microwave ovens. From the start, Jack and Sharon's motto was "Deal Direct With The Owners And Save. They quickly expanded into full line appliances and electronics, adding stores in Bloomington/Normal and LaSalle/Peru in the early 80's. Furniture and bedding were later added to the offerings as the business continued to grow in the 80's and 90's. Today the business is headed by Paul Sherman and a team of experienced managers. The company has been expanding quickly in the past few years, with a new distribution center in Peoria Heights and a planned Peoria expansion that will result in more than double our current showroom space. Our family continues to grow with more than 160 employees, but we still strive to provide pain-free local service with the best price you can find.
