Shield Security provides thorough and adequate training to all their guards. Our training and compliance officer, Mr. Ronald Brathwaite, has a wealth of knowledge and experience in training officers. Our training schedule includes public relations, communication skills with clients and visitors, confrontation management, radio communications and incident reporting. Our officers are familiar with the laws of Trinidad and Tobago, and our qualified officers have the additional advantage of powers of arrest. We have an arrangement with H.H.S.L Safety Systems Limited to provide training in first aid, fire fighting techniques and defensive driving to our officers. Our officers have also been specially trained for situations where they need to exercise self-defence and baton techniques such as emergency evacuations, medical emergencies and proper handling of power outages and bomb threats. We also benefit from the services of Mr. J. Goodridge who specialises in complete firearm and tactical training with international certification.
