Since 1985, the principal of Shield Hotels, Kirit Patel, has been involved in the successful ownership, development and operations of many hospitality ventures. In 2000 Kirit Patel made the decision to consolidate the management of his hospitality businesses into a single entity, thus Shield Hotels was formed.
