Headquartered in Kent, Washington, Shinn Mechanical provides construction services for commercial and industrial clients throughout the Pacific NW region. Our 36,000 square foot shop facility is equipped with cutting edge equipment producing the finest pipe fabrication in the area. In addition to our highly skilled pipefitters and plumbers, we employ an office staff of experienced and talented project managers, engineers, and detailers. Shinn Mechanical has the resources and expertise to handle any project. Our philosophy is centered on shop fabrication. Starting with 3-dimensional models produced in AutoCAD; piping, equipment, custom supports, and various mechanical appurtenances are built in Shinn's shop. Fabricating a greater portion of our work in this controlled environment allows Shinn Mechanical to attain a higher level of efficiency, ensures accuracy/precision, and facilitates strict quality control. This gives our clients better projects, improved schedules, and minimal impact to their operations. Shinn Mechanical's field crews are comprised of experienced UA Local 32 Pipefitters and Plumbers. In addition, we employ service technicians, refrigeration technicians, and sheet metal workers. Most of our foremen and core personnel have been with the company more than ten years and represent the very best in their trade. Shinn invests heavily in our employees through continuing education programs such as those through the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA). We also ensure that our fabricators and installers are trained and certified on the latest processes and procedures. At Shinn Mechanical, we believe in working safely and efficiently, which is why we have invested in the best technology available. From articulating weld booms and a computerized pipe cutter to fully-equipped mobile weld trucks and a miniature crane, Shinn has the equipment to provide unique, cost effective solutions on any project. We are widely regarded throughout the industry as one of the most innovative mechanical contractors, having recently received the E. Robert Kent Award for Management Innovation from the MCAA. This award is given annually to only one contractor in the nation and Shinn was chosen based on the articulating weld booms that we completely designed and built in-house.
