Shinsei Bank
Shinsei Bank provides financial services from about 40 branches throughout Japan. The company organizes its business into three segments: Institutional Banking, Consumer and Commercial Finance, and Retail Banking. Shinsei used to focus on financing Japan's large industrial firms but has been cultivating its retail and small business banking operations. It offers services such as deposits, mortgages, and investments. Institutional activities include asset management, bond sales and underwriting, and trust services, as well as real estate finance and public sector finance. Founded as the Long-Term Credit Bank of Japan in 1952, the company was reborn as Shinsei (Japanese for "new birth") Bank in 2000.
