SignAd Outdoor Advertising

SignAd was founded in 1964 in Houston, Texas. With Houston growing at a rapid rate, Mr. Wesley B. Gilbreath, Sr. founded the company with an initial investment of $1,500. First starting with a general sign company tending to all facets of the sign business, Mr. Gilbreath achieved his greatest success in the outdoor advertising industry, eventually specializing in outdoor bulletins. In addition to the new SignAd displays, asset acquisitions of Beshear Sign Company, Beshear Sheppard Outdoor, Skyline Outdoor Advertising Company, Feazzell Outdoor, and Dixie Outdoor Advertising Company in the 1970's and 1980's added significant inventory to the plant and eventually helped SignAd become the largest independently held billboard company in Texas. In 1980, SignAd located to its current main operations facility on the North Loop (I-610), just north of downtown Houston in The Heights. SignAd is currently continuing its philosophy of controlled growth into other areas of Texas and Louisiana. SignAd is still owned and operated by the Gilbreath family, which controls nearly 1,700 bulletin faces in and around the southeast Texas area. SignAd, well noted for its unmatched turn-around time and customer service, takes pride in servicing the accounts of several Fortune 500 companies, as well as small business operations in the area.
