Silicon Cape
Silicon Cape was established in 2009, and is a community network of tech entrepreneurs and stakeholders committed to building a sustainable, vibrant, world-class tech sector in the Western Cape. Through multiple partnerships and collaboration, the organisation has grown significantly since inception to become globally recognised. Silicon Cape is one of the largest entrepreneurial networks in Africa, with over 9500 registered members, a significant social media presence, key relationships with corporates and sponsors, and lists over 1000 events on the platform each year. The organisation and its members are recognised as the voice of the start-up community, an influencer of government and an international brand for tech in South Africa. Members of the community, who form the executive committee, run Silicon Cape on a voluntary basis. The full-time operations manager is being recruited to assist the executive committee with its growing operational, governance and management requirements.
