SiteFinder is a search engine and directory for websites that self-organises sites using keywords contained within web pages. To ensure the relevance of all websites in our directory, SiteFinder only accepts websites with a .au suffix. How does SiteFinder work? Our software analyses the front page HTML code of websites and uses an algorithm to determine the keywords most relevant to the website's content. These keywords are then used to index the site in categories. All websites are updated at least once per month to ensure we have the most accurate and up-to-date data for each website. Is SiteFinder only an automated index? No, webmasters can choose to take ownership of their listing and further refine the category selections and search words for their sites. We also invite general users to help us refine our results by manually classifying listings. To edit a listing simply click the edit link to the right of each listing in directory/search results. What is the benefit of taking ownership of my listing? You'll have full control of what categories your site appears in, your site's description and keywords, and you can select geographic areas that are relevant to your website's visitors.
