SleepImage is evidence-based, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliant and FDA-cleared software as a medical device. For the first time clinicians have access to a "unit of measure" for sleep health, the Sleep Quality Index (SQI). SleepImage is based on coupling cardiovascular and respiratory data collected during sleep, that can be collected by wearable devices through to hospital monitors to provide medically actionable data. SleepImage presents a common sleep language, measuring sleep quality, sleep quantity and sleep pathology that has been termed as a true "prosumer" solution. Consequences of chronic short sleep duration and untreated sleep disorders are linked to the onset and progression of serious and prevalent chronic diseases like heart disease, high blood pressure, obesity, diabetes and increase all-cause mortality.
