Solico Group
Solico Group was established in 1972 with a focus on meat product needs in the Iranian market. In 1990s as the need for highly skilled technicians and modern technology in food processing became evident, the HQ was moved to Frankfurt, Germany. Becoming an international entity allowed Solico Group to enjoy a rapid growth in the local markets of Iran and Iraq. Following UN's removal of food related sanctions in 1990s, Solico Group's international HQ was once again moved, this time to Dubai, in order to take advantage of the growing food market in the Middle East. Today Solico Group is among the few food production companies that have obtained the necessary technology to build and operate factories and machineries by a domestic Engineering team. The opening up of the Iraqi market after the war, and the decision to base the Group's international HQ in the UAE, provided the opportunity for Solico to guarantee its growth in the Middle Eastern market. This strategy was an instant success as the Group immediately stabilized its managerial and operational footing in Iraq and Afghanistan in a way that allowed Solico to become a leader in the region's dairy market.
