Founded in 1979, Sored S.A. is emerged from Fabrique Nationale de Ressorts S.A., a firm with 50 years of experience in manufacturing of wire springs and stamped & bent parts and components. Over time, this specialisation expanded and other departments were added to those existing. These developments saw Sored diversify into other sectors, such as the medical industry, watch industry, electronics, electrical connections,electromechanical, etc. In 2003, Sored S.A took over the company Zappella & Bressan S.A. Zappella & Bressan S.A., based in La Chaux-de-Fonds, employed 30 people, specialized in manufacturing of technical and micro-springs. With the takeover of Zappella & Bressan, Sored strengthened its position as leader in the field of compression springs, traction springs, torsion springs, shaped and special springs. As a result of this acquisition, Sored has enhanced its micro-spring expertise with even smaller dimensions.
