Sorgenia was founded in 1999 with the liberalisation of the energy market and is now one of Italy's leaders in electricity generation and sale, as well as in methane supply and sale (residential and business markets). All of its business takes place online and mainly relies on the customers' informed choice, getting rid of traditional sales methods that are often felt as too intrusive. Sorgenia is currently busy working at challenging development plans, in generation and in the provision of new residential and business solutions.
