Sounds Air

Sounds Air operate a fleet of Cessna Caravan and Pilatus PC12 aircraft. All are operated single pilot under both VFR and IFR. Our line training is very thorough, usually taking 50-80 hours before a single pilot check to line. We do not have set minimum or maximum times for line training. We understand every person is different, and adjust line training requirements to suit the individual. We currently base crews in either Wellington or Blenheim. All crew do at least 12 months on the Caravan before transitioning on to the PC12, and then crew fly both types. We do not roster crew to fly different types on the same shift however. We pride ourselves on very high levels of customer service. In fact it is just as important to us as flying the aircraft well. All staff are provided with initial and recurrent training on our "G.U.E.S.T" principles of customer service, and all crew are expected to maintain these high standards throughout their employment.
