Shanghai Southgene Technology Co., Ltd., (上海南方基因科技有限公司) is a Chinese company that carries out research and development on genome-wide associations and family-based linkage analysis of leprosy. Established in September 2003, the company was co-founded by SBC, CHGC, and Shanghai Venture Capital Corporation. From 2003 to 2005, Southgene Technology undertook an International Cooperation Project ""HapMap"", and finished the type-dividing task of SNPs on No.21, No.3, and No.8 chromosomes with the participation of the Chinese HAPMAP cooperative group. From 2009 to 2010, cooperating with Shandong Institute of Skin Venereal Disease Prevention, the company carried out genome-wide association studies and family-based linkage analysis of leprosy, and the achievement was published in international medical magazines. Currently, the company's annual volume of service has accumulated more than 1200 machines an hour, and the number of users is more than 20.
