Southland Girls High School

Established in 1879, Southland Girls' High School is the third oldest girls' school in New Zealand. We are a high performing academic school with over 140 years experience teaching girls, and are known for our 21st century curriculum and modern facilities. Our school provides a high quality education for all, helping students find pathways to Universities all over the world. Our curriculum provides girls with personalised learning opportunities ensuring every student's needs, interests and abilities are met. The level of learning is not determined by age - multi-level learning is common and considered a normal part of learning at SGHS.
