Special Pathogens Laboratory, The Legionella Experts®, specializes in detecting, controlling, and remediating Legionella and other waterborne pathogens in building and utility water systems. SPL provides the only validated strategy that can prevent outbreaks of Legionnaires' disease. We offer an integrated platform of evidence-based solutions to water treatment, healthcare, hospitality, and commercial and industrial sectors. SPL is accredited by NY ELAP ( Lab No.12024) and CT Department of Public Health (Lab No.PH - 0125) and is one of the few labs in the U.S. accredited by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (Certificate No. 2847.01) for Legionella testing, and participates in both CDC-ELITE and PHE Legionella proficiency programs.
