Speedway Schools

IT IS THE MISSION OF SPEEDWAY SCHOOLS TO INSPIRE AND PREPARE STUDENTS TO EMBRACE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF TODAY AND THE POSSIBILITIES OF TOMORROW. Dr. Terry E. Reed recently announced his intent to retire from service on the Board of Education of the School Town of Speedway on December 31, 2017. Dr. Reed began service on the Board in the spring of 1996 and has faithfully fulfilled his responsibilities on this Board for nearly 22 years. In addition to being the first and only school representative on the Speedway Redevelopment Commission and serving in all local board officer positions multiple times, Dr. Reed is a Past-President of the Indiana School Boards Association. During Dr. Reeds tenure on the Board of Education, the school corporation has always earned the highest designation (A) from the Indiana Department of Education. The School Town of Speedway invites interested members of our community to attend a reception honoring Dr. Terry E. Reed from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 in the Media Center of Speedway High School at5335 W. 25thStreet.
