Spotlight Events

For over 20 years, Spotlight has been dedicated to providing high-quality professional dance competitions in cities throughout the country. Our purpose is to recognize and reward the talents of dance students while promoting the performing arts in the communities we serve. Participation in Spotlight Dance Cup's competition builds self-esteem, develops character, cultivates friendships, and improves dance and performance skills. We strive for a fun, exciting, and satisfying experience for the artists, parents, audience members, and instructors. We believe that dancers will grow in a supportive environment by participating in a well-organized, prestigious, and dynamic event. Since 1995, our competitions were so well-received in local communities that we decided to expand to numerous cities throughout the West and Midwest. Our first touring season in 1996 included 12 Regional events and one National Championship Final with fewer than 2000 individual competitors combined. Last year, we held 45 Regional events and 3 National Championship Finals representing almost 28,000 individual dancers and 23,000 performances. Our 2019 season will include 52 Regional events and 3 National Championship Finals, making it our most expansive tour yet.
