Shumaker & Sieffert is proud to co-sponsor a team of swimmers in the Swim 24Challenge, a 24-hour swim and fundraiser designed to combat childhood drowning in San Diego. According to the Center for Disease Control, drowning is the #2 cause of accidental death among all children in the U.S., and the #1 leading cause of accidental death among minority children. Drowning is 100% preventable by teaching a child to swim. But many families in the San Diego community simply cannot afford to teach their kids to swim.
