Steel Wheels BMX

We are a 100% volunteer based organization created for the purpose of bringing the sport of BMX racing to Northwest Indiana. We are a Not-For-Profit enterprise, funding our endeavors through contributions and race fees. Our program includes operation of the tracks, scholarships and fostering national competition through travel to ABA sanctioned events. GoalsOur goal is to help each rider to acheive her/his fullest potential by giving them the very best environment. We focus on assisting riders development including technical skills, athleticism and safety, while the experience gained at competitive levels will foster sportsmanship and most importantly fun. We are committed to making BMX a rewarding experience for each rider by promoting the sport as a family activity. s our ABA members move up from novice we all know how important it is to surround them with an environment that fosters healthy compition and supports good sportsmanship. That is exactly the environment we believe competitive BMX can provide and more specifically the type of environment we would like to build and foster at Steel Wheels. Ultimately, we care about the rider's safety and providing them the opportunities to demonstrate success at the various levels from Novice, Intermediate, Expert and Pro.
