Earlier this year Stephens Pharmacy celebrated the grand opening of their new location, at the Hawley Market IGA on Main Avenue in Hawley. Hawley native Elizabeth Hill, PharmD joined the business and heads up the team. She is joined by pharmacy techs Laura Curtis and Paige Stephens-Corso RN, CPhT. "We've wanted to open a location in Hawley for quite some time", said Pharmacy President Judy Stephens, "we were looking for the right location and waiting for the right time". Mrs. Stephens was raised in downtown Hawley where she and her late husband attended Wallenpaupack Area High School. "We have many loyal customers from Hawley and the Lake Region", according to Wayne R. Stephens, Vice President and Director of Pharmacy, "this gives us an opportunity to be closer to them while offering our services to a broader group of patients looking for quality care." The team at Stephens Pharmacy still takes the time to get to know their patients by name. They area available to answer any questions you may have regarding your medications. They'll even help with the confusing Medicare Part-D plans. The team at Northeast Med-Equip specializes in helping patients with special needs. They handle even the most unique specialty medical equipment and supplies with many items in stock. From hospital beds, wheel chairs and walkers to even the most personal items such as mastectomy fittings and ostomy supplies, patients can be assured of their privacy and comfort. Tina Augello is a certified mastectomy fitter and there is even a special fitting room onsite. The company offers many aids to daily living that can help patients to be as independent as possible. Specialty items like lift chairs, stair glides and wheelchair lifts can be installed in the home. They even offer rugged all-terrain wheelchairs and scooters enabling those who are wheelchair-bound to travel places they couldn't before. Full-time Certified Respiratory Therapist, Todd Kinzinger CRTT, specializes in CPAP and Oxygen therapy. If you have been diagnosed with sleep apnea and your doctor has prescribed CPAP therapy, Todd will gladly instruct you on how to use the device and will stay in contact with you and your physician through the process.
