Stevensons
Stevensons is a third generation family owned business founded in the 1920's by Frederick Stevenson under the name Victoire Modes and focussed on ladies fashions. As the business grew to occupy six shops in Victoria Street so did the product range to include clothing for the whole family as well as schoolwear. Mr. Stevenson and his wife Vera worked together in the business as did their four daughters and son David. David Stevenson the present Managing Director, changed the name of the business to Stevensons in the 1960's to reflect the development of the business away from fashions to focus on schoolwear and children's wear. His wife Catherine joined the business and with exceptional growth in the schoolwear division of the company the decision was made to become a specialist school uniform and sportswear stockist and supplier. In true family tradition their sons Mark and John, daughter Mary and daughter-in-law Stephanie, have all joined the business giving a young and dynamic team committed to the future of the company. The business continues to grow and in June 2008 took the opportunity to acquire Len Smiths school uniforms and sportswear of Twickenham.
